Tapping the email button will open a new outgoing message in the iPad mail application. In all three cases, a summary and link to the article will be filled in automatically as the body of your message. You can edit this text, or just send it as is.

  11. Can I use the ACM TechNews iPad application when traveling? Yes, but note that in the absence of a WiFi connection, the ACM TechNews iPad application requires a cellular network connection to download and update content. Normal network data rates apply, and you may incur roaming charges while traveling. Check with your local carrier. Alternatively, you can enable Airplane Mode to browse and read previously stored news without incurring data access charges.

  12. In the ACM TechNews iPad app, can I read the news offline or in Airplane Mode? The ACM TechNews iPad application was designed to store content locally on your iPad. Once you have completed the sync process, you will be able to access stored and saved content, even if Airplane Mode is activated or you do not have cellular network coverage. Note that only articles that have been fully downloaded will be available for offline reading.

  13. How do I remove the ACM TechNews iPad application from my device? The procedure to remove the application is the same as for any other iPad application. Touch and hold the ACM TechNews iPad application icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the X in the corner of the icon, then confirm the deletion in the window that appears.
